Terms of Use

SYNLAB Access
 

These terms of use (Terms) is a legal agreement between you, the user of this medical test results access application ‘SYNLAB Access’ (App), and SYNLAB International GmbH, having its registered offices at Moosacher Str. 88, 80809 Munich, Germany (SYNLAB) that governs your access to and use of the App and the services. Please read these Terms carefully before using the App.

Your access to and use of the App is conditioned on your acceptance of and compliance with these Terms. These Terms apply to all visitors, users and others, who access or use the App.

By accessing or using the App you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you disagree with any part of these Terms, then you may not access the App.


Content

Our App allows you to store your medical reports which contain sensitive and private information. You are responsible for turning ON your App security protection, so only your fingerprint, biometric data or Face ID can open your medical reports. SYNLAB is committed to providing a secure and safe environment for our App.

Our App does not collect your private information since we do not provide you with an account, the information is collected by the relevant laboratory.

By agreeing to our Terms, you consent to sensitive information, such as information about your health, genomic information, and demographic information such as age and gender being accessed in our App. By agreeing to our Terms, you consent to storing your sensitive information in the App.

Please keep your security key private and secure your passwords and e-mails.

We will not sell, lease, or rent your private information (i.e., information about a single individual's genotypes, diseases or other traits/characteristics) to any third-party company.

SYNLAB has no control over, and assumes no responsibility for, the content, privacy policies, or practices of any third-party websites or services including email services. You further acknowledge and agree that SYNLAB is not responsible or liable, directly or indirectly, for any damage or loss caused or alleged to be caused by or in connection with the use of the App.

SYNLAB has no responsibility or liability for any consequences that may result because you have released or shared personal information with others.

The information provided is given "as is" without warranty of any kind. To the extent permitted by law, neither SYNLAB nor its affiliates, subcontractors or suppliers are liable for incidental, special or consequential damages including downtime cost; lost profits; damages relating to the procurement of substitute products or services; or damages for loss of data, or software restoration.

These Terms are governed by the laws of Germany excluding its conflict of law rules. Each party agrees to submit to personal and exclusive jurisdiction of the courts located in Munich, Germany. The parties specifically exclude from application to the Terms of Service the United Nations Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods.


Changes

We reserve the right, at our sole discretion, to modify or replace these Terms at any time. If a revision is material, we will try to provide at least 30 days' notice prior to any new terms taking effect. What constitutes a material change will be determined at our sole discretion.
